Is PUBLIX Training LOUISVILLE, Correctly?

I’m sorry, but I was raised in South Florida and Publix was my first job, so this article really hits home. Publix is supposed to be “where shopping is a pleasure.” I know what the Publix Promise means. Publix is more expensive than Kroger and way more expensive than Walmart, but supermarket chain prides itself on excellent customer service, immaculate stores, and excellent selection. There’s an ongoing problem at the hot case at Store 1847 in Louisville and I suspect it’s the product of bad management. I’ve complained many times and nothing ever gets done. Could it be bad management – or – could it be that the FL managers they brought up to train Louisville personnel rushed the training? The Kentucky stores are not providing the customer service that I’ve come to expect from Publix in FL, GA, and SC.

STORE MANAGERS need to be accessible to customers. Especially if shoppers insist upon speaking to the STORE MANAGER. The “Customer Service Manager” is a middle-person who lacks the authority to make significant change(s) in the store.

There’s a brand new Kroger in front of 1847 and nine blocks away there’s the Kroger I shop at. This means this Publix is competing against two Kroger supermarkets. Publix can’t compete price-wise so the customer service needs to be exemplary. It’s anything but that at 1847.
