FUNKSWAY – An Excellent Band To Catch!!

Be sure to check out this great band! They played the No Kings protest in Louisville today and kept spirits high with their excellent vocals and musicianship. I discovered them shortly after we marched throughout the city and couldn’t help but stop to hear their sound. I was pretty much exhausted and about ready to head home, BUT NOT SO FAST!!

What first sparked my interest was their rhythm section. They were totally in sync with each other and whenever that happens, that stops me dead in my tracks. I love great singing, solid guitar playing, and the brass, but there’s just something about that connection between the drums and the bass that just totally does it for me. As it turns out, the bass player and drummer didn’t have too much history together, but they are without a doubt the backbone of this band.
